Lego Cufflinks

Nerdy, but awesome. If I wore dress shirts more often, I'd definitely have a pair of these...

Living off the Grid

I've often thought about going off the grid - electricity only - but this infographic shows that it doesn't take a lot (compared to what most people think) to live off the land. It does not speak to the fact that doing this sort of thing would be a lot of work.

I'll stick with kicking electricity to the curb... and apparently I'll need a good roof full of solar panels to do it!

Cow on the lam...

Ok people... this is a cow we are talking about. I'm just glad I'm not the one trying to get the animal. Have you ever tried to spot a cow in the forrest? They are like trees that chew their cud. And don't turn your back if you think you spotted one; you do and they'll mosey away before you can close your eyes and count to 100!

Cow on the lam for 12 weeks becomes tabloid star

After local authorities initially issued a shoot-to-kill order, fearing that Yvonne would be a security risk and endanger drivers on a busy nearby road, Aufhauser and his team decided to buy "the cow in absentia" from the local farmer and deployed search dogs, experienced riders on horses and scores of volunteers for the hunt.

Reasons to Hate Google?

Perhaps their mantra of do no evil could use an update.  My conundrum now is whether all the reasons I loved Google are slowly falling by the wayside.

I will say that I did not track down the hard truth on all of the accusations. Even if some of them are partially true, it paints a picture of a company that may be straying from it's vision.

You can't compete with a cancer tattoo

This made me think of my Mom who is thinking about getting her cancer dots turned into a full tattoo of some sort.

Sweet Treehouse Workspaces

I have always loved tree houses. There's just something fun about them... I mean, I can't look at one or think about them without smiling. Perhaps there's a small part of my childhood wrapped up in that since I never got to have one of my own - but always wanted one.

As an adult, your typical tree house doesn't quite cut it - damn growth and all. But this person have figured it out. You can build anything if you know what you are doing:)
